Our Drinks

The Elephant and Castle has been a consistent feature in the Real Ale Guide for four years due to the management teams’ experience in the license and brewing trade. Three ales are stocked all year round, Harveys Best Bitter is a permanent feature, with Hobgoblin and Deuchars IPA currently selling alongside. This selection of ales allows most palettes to be catered for with a well hopped Harveys Best, winner of the Champion Best Bitter of Britain award perfect for all occasions, Hobgoblin providing a stronger, sweeter ale and Deuchars IPA light but with surprising amounts of taste perfect for those balmy summers evenings, or long days out.
Also in stock at the moment is Westons Old Rosie, a CAMRA approved traditional cider, which at 7.3% might not be to everyone’s taste but should be tried.

Lagers
With six draught lagers to choose from, customers should be able to find one that they like. The Heineken, brewed in Holland, is a good place to start, but with Kronenbourg, Stella Artois, Fosters, Becks Vier and Carling available on draught there should be a pint in there for you.
Corona, Budvar, Budweiser, Becks, VB, Peroni and Bittburger Drive are all available in bottles, so if you can’t find a lager you like to drink maybe you should try a different tipple.

Wines
We try to stock a variety of wines, from French whites to New World reds. The ubiquitous Pinot Grigio and roses are available as well as less common wines such as a smoky Australian Petit Verdot. Veuve Clicquot tops off the range if you feel the need to treat yourself.

Spirits
Various malt whiskys are available, with a constantly changing menu, but with Islay, Highland, Lowland and Speyside present, true whisky lovers should find something to excite their palettes .
Gin, a much overlooked spirit, makes its presence known, with the usual Gordons flanked by Bombay Saphire, Tanqueray full strength and Hendric’s . So, make your choice and decide on the mixer, for a refreshing experience.

Soft drinks
The Elly stocks a surprising array of soft drinks, with the stalwarts of Coke, Pepsi, lemonade and orange juice flanked by an additive free apple juice, smoothies, a large range of Fentimans traditional drinks. Also available are a range of j2Os, Lucozade, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and a constantly changing range of other soft drinks.
